How to Play Letter Boxed
Letter Boxed is a word puzzle played on a square with three letters on each side (12 letters total). Form words by connecting letters, then chain those words until every letter has been used at least once.
Basic Rules
- Words must be at least 3 letters long.
- No two consecutive letters from the same side — you must alternate sides as you spell.
- Letters may be reused across different words, but your goal is to cover all 12 unique letters on the board.
- Chain words: the last letter of one word becomes the first letter of the next (for example, CAT → TREE → ENTER).
How to Win
You win when every letter on the board appears in at least one of your accepted words. Solving in fewer words is a harder, more satisfying challenge — try for two- or three-word solutions when you can.
Controls
- Click or tap letters on the board (or type A–Z on a keyboard) to build a word.
- Enter submits the word if it is valid.
- Delete removes the last letter of your current word.
- Restart clears progress on the same puzzle; New Game deals a fresh board.
